About the Publishers
GT Magazine is published by
Schaefer Design Studio
Sherrill and Bruce Schaefer are the owners of Schaefer Design Studio, a graphic design and printing business. They also publish GT Magazine, which is a monthly publication for the Greer/Taylors business and residential communities.
Sherrill, who is also called by her nickname "Shea", is a seasoned graphic designer who also enjoys painting in acrylics and writing books. She was born and raised in the Greer/Taylors area back during a time when most of the land was farmland or just large vacant spreads of earth. Bruce, who was blessed with the "gift of gab", is a natural-born communicator, which makes him a great "out front and center" kind of guy. He handles meetings, sales, accounts and invoicing. He was born in Toccoa, Georgia and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though he is a city boy and Shea is a country girl, both of them are southern raised Christians through and through in heart and soul. Between the two, they have three grown children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. For 20 years of their marriage, they lived and worked in the Myrtle Beach area, but in September 2022, they moved back to the upstate of South Carolina; closer to their roots.
Their graphic design and printing business was first established in downtown Greenville 27 years ago and they continue to service clients throughout South Carolina. From the upstate to the coastal region, they provide established businesses, as well as brand new businesses, with design and printing from business cards to yard signs, banner, brochures, post cards, rack cards, menus — basically anything with words and graphics! If you need a logo to get started, they can provide that as well.
In addition to providing design work and printing for businesses, GT magazine is another part of what they do at Schaefer Design Studio to bring more recognition and awareness to local businesses. It's a great addition to any marketing plan!
Whether marketing your business through advertisement or by using marketing materials such as brochures, banners, yard signs, business cards, etc., the key word is affordability. Effective marketing is a vital necessity for every business, but it should be reasonably affordable and achieve desired expectations. Through the years, while using their expertise to provide quality design and printing for all their clients, Shea and Bruce have built a great reputation, one they worked hard to earn. They are able to offer business owners affordable solutions that work in reaching goals necessary to be successful in a growing community.
